Applications are now open for the 2013 Women in tourism Tasmania Student Scholarship. The student sponsorship is a WITT initiative to encourage Tasmanian women to continue their Advanced Diploma tourism/hospitality studies at Drysdale South. WITT will provide $990 to cover study enrolment fees, plus an additional prize of $500 to be presented to the successful student at the conclusion of the 2013 study year. To be eligible, nominees must be currently studying tourism/hospitality at Drysdale and continuing their studies in the following year. A productive night was enjoyed by the members of the WITT Southern branch. A new record for a quick WITT AGM was set and we moved on to the launch of the Scholarship, which was well recieved by the members. A selection of finger food prepared by the students at Drysdale House was enjoyed, along with a 3rd birthday cake for WITT South. All members and non members had an opportunity to network and discuss the scholarship with the Drysdale students who prepared the evening as part of their studies.
