The Cascade Female Factory World Heritage Site is right on Hobart’s doorstep. WITT member’s enjoyed a lovely evening and the Female Factory Facebook page reported: The Cascades Female Factory demonstrates how transportation was used to expand Britain’s spheres of influence, as well as to punish and reform female convicts. On 6 March, 25 WITT members enjoyed a visit to the site and learn what was happening on site. A fantastic end of year function was held by WITT Hobart Branch at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. A shortened night tour, to enable all the guest to experience wildlife up close was enjoyed by all. Minister for Tourism, Scott Bacon, shared in the BBQ dinner and got to witness WITT networking at its best. Santa came to gather gifts to be distributed to animal rescue shelters in Hobart, and rewarded all with a lolly bag.
